Lorem ipsum 🖺 commonly used to demonstrate the visual form of a document or a layout without relying on the meaningful content i-e it is simply a dummy text which is likely to be replaced when the actual content becomes available.

• Lorem ipsum is a corrupted version of 'De finibus bonorum et malorum', a 1st century BC text by the Roman statesman and philosopher Cicero in which the words have been altered, added and removed to make it nonsensical and improper Latin.
• Even before the dawn of internet it was used as a filler in printing tests.
• A variation of the ordinary lorem ipsum text has been used in typesetting since 1960s or earlier when it was popularized by advertisements for Letraset transfer sheets.
• However in the information age in the mid-1980s it was introduced by Aldus Corporation which was used in graphics and word-processing templates for its desktop publishing program PageMaker.
• Then later on other popular word processors, including Pages and Microsoft Word and web content managers like Joomla!, WordPress started using it and now its used almost everywhere.

WHY IS IT USED ?

As I told you it was being used from a long time ago, a question may arise in your mind why to use it ? why can't I use any other normal texts maybe from a novel or other books? what does it mean in English?

• Well the main reason for using lorem ipsum text is to avoid people concentrating on the text. As I told you before it is mostly used in design process so when a designer wants someone else to review his design the reviewer can solely focus on the design instead of the content.
• Also if you want to know what the text means you can simply translate it using a translator like google translate

As it is not a pure Latin so all words are not translated here.
